Just got off the phone to Virgin Media

out broadband has been very slow in the evening - so slow I can;t watch video properly
(cue dodgy comments from "some people" about what videos they are - which will be wrong)

anyway - I have been measuring the speed and it is generally around 50Mb
when our contract is for 1000Mb

anyway - only a 12-13 minute wait - apparently they were very busy

and then spoke to Anthony - which is an unusual name for someone with his accent even if they were born in this country
but anyway
he was very helpful and knew his job

he quickly seemed to work out that I knew what I was talking about and had already done the basics and been doing checks for several day
so the old "switched it off, wait 10 minutes then switch it back on" wouldn't be enough

ANyway - not too bad - not fixed - or so I suspect - but I will do a "pin hole reset" ina few minutes and see if it works better tonight!

Nice to see @Drago back - welcome back

Started young, and still going.

Barnet,
The dog has been walked, early because it's quite warm today and she is getting elderly now.
I cycled up to the local shops for a few essentials, ie ale for me and Fage yoghurt for MrsP. The knee held up ok it is only a mile to the shops, and first time on a full sized bike, I have used the Brommie the last couple of short outings.
A few more geraniums and busy lizzies planted in the front garden and watered in. The grass will get cut later on.
I'll shortly start on the brunch, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, black pudding, mushrooms, tomatoes and toast. That should keep us going until tomorrow. 😁
Another busy day in paradise.

We've got some bluebells in our garden. Here's one of the cats doing his morning inspection. For anyone wondering, the fence is actually a purpose built cat proof fence designed to stop our cats escaping as there is a quite quiet A road about 100metres from house but traffic does on occasion go through quickly. When we first had house built we lost a couple cats on the road so vowed it would not happen again. Hence at some expense I had fence installed around our very large garden to keep them in. They've still got loads of room to roam about but within a safe area.

Cat proof fence is interesting, if it will keep cats OUT that is?
