Good morning. A beautiful day has dawned. A less beautiful Paul has risen. A poor night's sleep. I have some chores to do, allotment work and must fit in a walk and nap. I think the walk is important as I felt quite bloated and restless last night.
Sleepwalk, get both done at the same time?

I binned ride as CBA with battling the headwind so took to hedge cutting instead which was even harder work.

Headwind in Belgium dreadful this morning. Set out to ride to the cemetery at Tyne Cot and the level bits were like going uphill. Nearly blew us off the road a couple of times. Not going tomorrow if it’s still like that

To celebrate my wife's big birthday in September ( she will be starting a new decade then ), I have booked a Mediterranean Cruise , but she will have to wait till April for it. It goes from Palma to Sardinia , Corsica Monaco, Rome and Pumppey. We will be flying from East Midland to Palma.
I am looking forward to Corsica as I will be able to see Napoleon's house where he was born and grew up , in Ajaccio.

Hmm - we should book something next March/April as we will officially old then

we both start getting our Old Age Pension

so it seems like a good idea to spend spend spend!!!

I think we will wait until after September - we are going to Italy on a coach with Shearings
and if it goes well - coach wise anyway - then celebrating getting the Old Age Pension witha Shearing coach holiday seems appropriate

or we might just fly to Egypt or the Maldives!!

Well - I thought that was just working out right

SWMBO's son came round with the grand kids about 1 ish

started muttering about leaving about 2:15
so by the time the kids had been buiiled into coats and shoes they were just leaving at 2:30

so I was thinking
"Hmm - Red Arrows take off time is 2:59 - put ebike in Turbo and stick to the main roads and I'll get there in time"

then started waving them off and it started raining!!!

Rain got worse

then when the took off (we would hear them from here) it had stopped but I would have got soaked on the way there!!
