Are any political discussions of any kind allowed on this forum? I don't mean this Retirement thread but is there an off topic section where world politics etc can be discussed or is that a no-no?

Political discussion typically descends to puerile name calling, which makes it seem pointless to me in either real life or on here. There are far more important or interesting topics to trade insults over.

Still, if that's your bag you can click on the news, current affairs and politics link at rhe top of the forum.

Re politics. There were so many arguments with one side ( I won't say which side or who ) in particular dominated any discussion and wouldn't tolerate anyone who had a different opinion to voice it.
