Good morning. Very pleasantly fresh with blue skies and a high of 18⁰ forecast. That suits very well. A whole pile of minor bits and pieces to attend to which I'm cracking on with at pace. Feeling very motivated today:
  • say hello to the older folk ✅️
  • u3a admin ✅️
  • water neighbour's plants ✅️
  • strim grass
  • cut grass
  • make tea
  • new keyboard
  • phone reset
  • Online shop for dressing gown***, T-shirts and jeans**
Hopefully get that lot done this morning before heading off to the Thursday card group. Eleven have said they will come today, a very awkward number for cards. Then I'm meeting a friend for coffee. Phew!!!!

*** deeply embarrassed when I got my dressing gown out of the cupboard yesterday for the hospital visit. It's just about OK for home use but taken anywhere????? 😱 Fortunately I didn't need to use it

** any help from dedicated jeans buyers would be welcome!! No names, no pack drill 🤣

Morning all. 12° which feels quite cool after the heatwave.
Off to the pub at lunch time but little to do apart from that.

Thought for the day.
My son (the pub owner) was asked by someone if they could book a wedding reception for 2027.
My son :- yes but I can't give you any idea of price or what might be on the menu.
Client :- why is that?
Son :- well, anything could happen by then. We might have world war 3.
Also, countries the UK use for supplies might be at war so items such as fruit, even chicken breast might not be available.
Scary or what!!!

Started young, and still going.
Good morning all.
A bright blue sky greets me .a nice temperature though.
MissP is calling in at lunchtime, so I'll have to cycle up to the local shops to get something suitable, beans on toast won't cut it, but it gives me an excuse to get out on the bike for a while. :bicycle:

I have limited experience of buying Jeans compared to a certain member of this Parish, I would recommend looking at Alpkit as their jeans, although pricey are excellent. They're also a great company that offer repairs to their own ( and other manufacturers ) kit, pay a living wage etc. I've been using them since about 2006 and their kit is top rate.

Morning again. A pleasant 7 mile wander done.

Well timed I think as the early brightness has disappeared and we now have black clouds. I suspect the rain isn’t far away.

Porridge with a few prunes this morning. Not because I particularly need them, but I just enjoy them.
