I didn’t realise they were so fancy inside! Nice and clean too.

In my experience, we used to get both owner drivers and employed drivers in the yard, the guys with the clean cabs and trucks were the best drivers. The ones who would go the extra mile to make a delivery, notify me of an issue, etc. It worked both ways, they helped us, we looked after them.

In case you borrow my truck, this is the auto with manual override) 12 speed (with overdrive) gear lever.
It is also the engine retarder & 7 speed exhaust brake & auto/manual gear select, too.

I feel you'd get very bored driving my car, just a pedal to push and stick to move back and forth. Nothing fancy!

It's dry now and sunny sometimes but still really breezy.

We've had a few spots of rain, but nothing really.
Tomorrow thee are thundery showers forecast all morning.
Shortly we are getting the train down to Farringdon in central London for a meet up with a group of people that I worked with for many years, now all retired. The WAG's are also coming, so it should be a great evening.

Yes, at least two drivers per 24 hours..
We rarely get the same truck but most of us keep them clean. There's the occasional slob but, fortunately, not many!

That's something I don't miss. We had our own truck but whenever you went on holiday they'd put some agency drivers in your cab. I always seem to get some stinky smoker. Really drove me mad. Fortunately I don't have to worry about that anymore.

Just been painting the inside of the shed prior to fitting some racks to make the layout more logical and easy to get to. Now by back aches and I might need a drop of Tincture of Islay do ease the soreness 🥃
Octopus had a free electric hour this afternoon so I put the washing machine, dishwasher, and immersion heater on. Heard from Mrs Tkk that grandsons op went ok yesterday. He's back home now and seems to be reasonably happy. She's been taking granddaughter to school and exploring the local environs.
