Mrs @BoldonLad's Alzheimers symptoms are advancing, slowly, but surely. Although she is physically very fit (more fit than me!) she cannot reliably deal with remembering how to operate gears, brakes, and, deal with traffic, so, our cycling outings have been at an end for over a year now.

I slip out for a quick solo ride, either early in the morning, but, our sociable daytime rides, with coffee, cake and a laugh, have come to an end.

Last week, I bought a Hase Pino Steps, semi-recumbent tandem. I did take Mrs @BoldonLad along with me, and, we had a "trial run", before buying. Today, we had our first outing in our home area, doing part of a route which Mrs @BoldonLad is familiar with. We only did a little over 7 miles, but, I am pleased to say, it all went smoothly, and, Mrs @BoldonLad is a convert. I think we should be able to resume "coffee and cake rides" in the near future 😂

That's a bitter/sweet post.

What a ****ard life can be as we write our final few chapters!

Good to hear that you are making the most of the situation and long may you enjoy your semi-recumbent tandem. 😍

Happy Birthday @PaulSB
