Good morning. I'll save the words for another day. 🌧🌧🌧🌬🌬🌬

Feeling very good today. An excellent sleep. I've got my exercise routines and diet back on track. I made some dreadful food decisions on Friday and Saturday - very depressing.

#2SP is here. Different child from the 4 day session. Happy. Chatty. No real bother. Mrs P is encouraging her to have a nap.

Childminding aside I have a task for today. We have a fridge crisis. The bottom door shelf where the milk, yoghurt, etc are caged in is breaking. One corner where it clicks on to the door has cracked. We have a saggy shelf. A temporary fix combining super glue and gorilla tape will be deployed. Next a Google search for what I'm sure will be a very expensive replacement.

We have the grand kids - they stayed overnight

The little one has been learning how to be naughty from his cousin (less said the better!) and we have had to have a "little chat" with him a few times
His Gran does this by shouting
I do it by a long quiet talk while forcing him to look me in the eyes at the same level

I think he hates mine more!!

AND we have "the man" around from EDF changing the electric meter
which - horror or horrors - will mean the wifi will stop working soon - not sur ehow the elder 2 kids will cope!!)

Good cop. Bad cop.

Well the EDF man - actually from MAPP or some such - has got the electric back on

The grand kids spotted that the wifi was back like some sort of Kung Fu master before anything else happened - no idea how!

not at all sure how to get the solar panels working again I will have to check the instruction but it is something weird like connecting to a different wifi address on exactly the same channel and everything to your real one
and then telling it what to connect to properly

we shall see

In my experience it's best to do nothing as it's just that the leccy has been off for a bit, just like in a power cut. I had my electric off last week, the engineers were wondering why my solar hadn't kicked back in and had switched the inverter off and on again. I told them to forget it and made them a cup of tea. Everything eventually sprang back to life. Changing WiFi router is a different kettle of fish, with that it's best to change the access point name and password to that of the old one.

She wants me to retire now
I had expected to go to 'full term', she says "no"

I've offered a couple of options to her
1. See what I can do on my 60th (later this year)
2. Get to 30 years service, if I manage to last that long (currently on 28 years & 5 months)

If you don't have a mortgage or rent to pay, you will find that you don't need as much money to live on.
