Evening folks 
a tad windy...as in its been 70mph, looking at the forecast its slowly easing ie 65mph by 7pm and 55mmph by 8pm whoopydoo! I have a young chinese rowan tree which was thrashing around alarmingly and much as i didnt want to I thinned out some of the foliage to reduce wind pressure. It has beautiful scarlet autumn colour and now it will have not quite so much foliage but at least branches havent been snapped havent done any pruning before in 70mph winds

I just need to find one willing to work without anaesthetics or painkillers. And not be charged for them not using them.
The dentist once quoted me £300 for fillings and root canals.
I asked "how much without painkillers"? He said £200.
I asked "how much without anaesthic"?
He said £50.
I said "OK.......I'll send the wife in tomorrow"
An hour, or so, this afternoon spent fabricating and repairing some tools.
Firstly, I set about repairing a bearing puller that I broke on my Montesa trials bike some time ago.
Next up was to make a fork installation tool for BSA's. I already had the threaded blocks, which I'd found in my 'box of bits' last week.
Both simple cutting, grinding and welding jobs, but satisfying nonetheless.

They're all a wee bit nervous about doing anything when I mention the problems with painkillers and anaesthetics.
Having a dentist as "walking wounded" in the ambulance, her fingers were in the mouth when it snapped shut.
