£4.80 for a pint of Timothy Taylors at my local. Very reasonable in the current climate I think.

Hello. Clean forgot to check in this morning as I was busy getting ready for a club ride. I planned to join the C group - expected average 15mph. When I arrived at the meet point five B riders decided to join the C ride. Oh well, I thought. 😲

To give you a flavour I overheard "of course the great thing about growing up in the late 80s was no mobile phones and screens." Hmmm I thought.......🤣🤣

So 17avg for the ride when I dropped off to head home 15.9 at home. I think the interesting stat is my average heart was 118 and I was in Z3/Z4 for 68% of the ride. My usual average HR is 105 - 110 and 85 - 90% Z2. Clearly working hard but at no point did I feel stretched. Pleased by this. Not too shabby at 71 and I did a couple of turns.

One of my drinking pals defines "affluence" as "not having to consider the price of the beer" 😂

On another evening, the discussion was "how expensive will the beer have to get, before you stop drinking?"
