Limited species turn up in our garden.. Lots of goldfinches, some sparrows (but not lots) bluetits, doves, an occasional thrush + the inevitable pigeons & crows.
Hopefully, once there's not so much 'natural' food around the blackbirds & robins will return.

We DID have quite large woods close to us so would regularly get Jays, Siskins,Greenfinches and Thrushes.
They cut the woods down and built houses....... it has decimated the bird population.

Just got home from the National Gallery Unframed exhibition. FANTASTIC! It's a touring thing so should it come to your area I would urge going along. £15 for mature folk. It seems the company, Frameless, who created the exhibition in collaboration with the National Gallery have permanent installations in London. We're doing a touristy thing to London in late November. It's on our list.

A cottage pie is defrosting which means I don't have to cook. Excellent news as that leaves time to cut the grass, it was wet from dew this morning.

Back in hospital on Tuesday for more chemo'. This is the first of two short chemo sessions that consolidate the two induction (heavy duty) treatments that I have already had.

The consolidation sessions are for patients in remission and are for clearing out any stray wayward cells hiding out in the bone marrow.

The big news thus far, after 10 weeks in hospital and numerous checkups and bone marrow biopsies, is that there are no cancerous cells at all in my bloodstream.

This being a critical way point before being considered for consolidation treatment.

Hopefully <1 week in hospital this time.

Went for a ride just before lunch

BY TOTAL CHANCE I came across the Dinky cafe Boat near Moore - being a boat it moves around
but as it basically moves around the area where I normally ride I can see me "coming across" it quite often

lady even remembered me from te other day and commented on there being no grand kids this time!!

also found a couple where the bloke was fixing his wife/girlfriend/partner/whatever's puncture

I stopped to check they were OK and it turned out he was having problems with their pump
so I got off and got mine out - which was better

so I officially am a hero for the day!!

Also did about 1/3 of the ride without pedal assist as I was behind someone else and the path was narrow
one fo those people was on an ebike and I was staying a reasonable distance behind him easliy in "off" mode
which I felt pretty pleased about

also got a new PB on the Strava segment over the bridge on the way back
which probably indicates there was a tail wind!!

Oh and sausages for tea!
