A bit late but sweet n sour chicken for me.
Cleaner has been and waved her magic wand. She was 45 minutes late as she and her partner locked themselves out of the house while leaving the car keys in there.
One borrowed ladder later and all was well.

Decided to bite the bullet and strip the top end of my BSA Barracuda this morning, mainly to ease my mind about the state of the big end - which are famous for flying apart on this model.
Everything looks good. Just need to give the barrel a light hone and fit some new piston rings and all should be OK.
Makes a change from working on 2 strokes.

Morning again.

I took the car over to Dunning (the village I'm from originally) and did a walk there for a change. I was originally only going to do an out and back along a quiet little road, but it was such a gorgeous morning I decided to carry on a do a longer loop. I've cycled it several times but that's the first time I've done it on foot.

First 3 miles are flat/downhill then the next 6 are an almost constant climb then it tapers off before finishing with a steep downhill back to the village. Hard going, but very enjoyable.

Don't tell Chorley Paul, he is already on a warning from another forum
Chorley Paul isn't a happy bunny over this.......

Well the house insurance has come up for renewal

so I have just been checking a few things

main thing is that I always check for EXACTLY what they expect me to do when locking up my bike at home and on rides

I say this because of experiences with 2 well know companies
a) after being with them for 2 years I checked and found they didn;t cover ebike of any kind no matter what - even if locked up with 16 u-locks to a full manned main battle tank
b) another that required proof that the bike had been locked up to a secure ground anchor (which they refused to define) using a SOld Secure Gold u-lock - and proof that this alwasy happened

I gave up on those 2 and the next place I checked just wanted it to be locked up using a lock
nothing specifc demanded
not sure if they would be so even handed if it was stolen but anyway

anyway - just tried and went onto the automated chat thing
which is closed

??????
an automated chat robot machine is closed???

sigh

I wish my big end would occasionally fly apart.
