Dirk, have you gone private ?
Just talking to my daughter about my eyes/eyesight.
I am arranging to visit an optician but feel he make recommend a cataract op'.
No idea what the NHS waiting list is.

MrsD's optician referred her to SpaMedica two weeks ago.
Apparently, you get an appointment much quicker if an optician refers you than if a GP does; something to do with bypassing part of 'the system'.
The treatment is still on the NHS.

Another question if I may.
Does she have anaesthetic with it ?
Since being a small child my phobia is anyone touching my eyes.
Put me to sleep and they can do what they want but if I am awake then

Google tells me anaesthetic is possible.

We've gone from famine to feast here where rain is concerned. Dry as a bone to total deluge. The tanks will def be full now.

Well, I mist my train connection by a minute in Glasgow. This meant I also mist the ferry. Now in Oban syha for the night, still it's quite nice. Getting the morning boat, I had planned in a couple of extra days so it shouldn't make much difference.

Operation takes 8 - 10 minutes.

I've got a cracking crop of tomatoes 🍅 this year. I put it down to the hot weather. They are so tasty, just like the ones you get from Italy or Spain.
