Good morning all fellow retirees.
A windy start to the day here.
We're off to Dorset today for a few days, a little place near Bridport called Eype. I hope it doesn't rain all week, but the forecast is not very good.

Lovely around there, though a tad lumpy if you're doing any walking. Apparently there's an 18 hole " foot golf " course nearby that has excellent views, sounds like a fun way to get a bit of exercise.

Morning.
Dry but very windy.
Weather vane I put up after repair is now at an angle rather disturbingly. On the plus side it's not my work in fixing it to wall but the vertical stem has bent a bit. Regardless of that it needs to be taken down so next spell of calm weather I'll be playing at scaffolder again.

Well that's that

I know I'm behind but I just watched the last stage of the Vuelta
I am always a day behind but it went back further because of grand kids staying - for some reason they don;t seem to be interested!

anyway - watched the last mountain stage then went onto the last one

anyway - no spoiler in case anyone if behind me

but anyway - point is - that might be that last stage of a GT that I ever watch

have to work out how to do it on YouTube or something next year

still got the whole ToB to do

but a bit sad that there might be no more Grand Tours
been watching then since Indurain were starting out - just missed out the druggy bits ( or the ones that got banned for it) due to "reasons"

Re my dental problems and being told to phone again on Wednesday.
Do you think I should sail to France and come back in a rubber dingy......it would be a close run thing

If you have what used to be called an EHIC Card (now, I think, something like a GHIC card), then, perhaps no need to do the rubber bought bit, just go to France for a couple of days.

I say this based on Mrs B experience. A few years ago, we were in France "on holiday". Mrs B fell off her bicycle and broke a tooth. We asked at site reception for nearest dentist, rolled up there, no appointment, told to come back next day, dentist fixed broken tooth, we did have to pay. 50Euro and show her EHIC card. I thought 50Euro a bargain, since we had previously paid almost £200 for an NHS dentist to do a similar repair.

Good morning. 🌨🌨 #2SP is here today. I wasn't looking forward to this. The last few times she's been were difficult. I suspect Mum and Dad have installed the latest update. The granddaughter I thought was inside has turned up today. It's cold, wet and blowin' a hoolie so we're going swimming.
