Well - went to the hospital this afternoon

turns out that I need a minor hernia operation
should be quite simple - just a small cut and a stitch or two
never had one before

all I can say is that the new Theatre Manager at the hospital had better be good!!
or I will be having words with his Mum (AKA my wife!!!)

anyway - if is minor and no urgency

so I do not expect an appointment this week!

I have one growing, maybe that should be bulging, it's only small and I can only see it if I stand up straight,
not been to the doctors as yet so not too worried about it, just hop it doesn't get any bigger.

If your hernia is not causing you pain or discomfort, advice is to 'watch and wait'. – look for changes and see your doctor if you start to have pain

Back in the 80s the works** Doctor diagnosed a double hernia ie both groins. Before keyhole surgery was an option I had 9 stitches each side. I was in agony and off work for 12 weeks.
**I worked for Shell hence an in-house Doctor.

I think that‘s because of the money available for breaking a world record, no point in upping it a load in one go, more lucrative to do it in many increments. Sergey Bubka did the same.

Yes, tv was just saying he was paid $140K for this one. X 14 is a decent payout. Mind you, for being the best in the world imo he deserves it.
2nd rate footballers get more than that every month.

Indeed….I’ve had a small one for a decade or more. Doc took a look once & said there was no point getting it done unless it got bigger or hurt. Hasn’t really changed.

It didn't work out well for me. I wasn't happy, had been in a few scraps, and threatened to burn the place down if they sent me back, and I would have done.

I have just spent 90 minutes researching old records for Eton.
It says you were kicked out because of other pupils complaining about the state of your underwear !!!

Mind you - if he had burned it down then "some people" would not have gone there

and would be different people

which may have

comment deleted to save MODS mentioning NCAP anymore this week!!!
