MrsD needs to have her other eye done.
She says she can't wait for it and would have it done today if it was possible.
It's amazed me because she was a bit squeamish about having anything touching her eyes. Not anymore!

I think you said but how did they numb her eye ?

Ye gods! Never in my life have I been constipated until last week when one of my chemo drugs caused 'faecal impaction'!

Prescribed drugs worked to clear it but the PAIN! Plus I now am sore in general and I have a tender lump in the affected area (stress haematoma apparently) requiring application of some medicated goo.

Never again will I show less than major sympathy for those similarly affected!

I think you said but how did they numb her eye ?

Anaesthetic drops and a very small tablet tucked in her lower lid. She didn't feel a thing.

I used to know a bloke who had no "3rd eyelid" - the little one at the side

He had had to have an operation on his eye when he was at Secondary School

apparently the cut in through that bit and removed his eye - leaving it sort of dangling on his cheek

Because if "things" hw had a sedative and stuff but had to be awake for the whole thing
which included still being able to see out of his eye when it was sitting there on his cheek!!!!!

he said it was scary before but that actual thing was fine - just rather weird
I suspect he was give something to "stop him worrying"

Back from the opticians.
Very interesting. Re' my left eye........I could have the cataract done now(ish) via the private/NHS route. Re' my right eye, that's not bad.
I have gone for new specs for now and will see what difference that makes. I can change my mind about the op' at any time.

MrsD says don't be a wimp and get the cataract done now. You can thank her later.

Reminds me of the guy that swallowed his glass eye so went to the Doctors. The Doc told him to drop his trousers and bend over the table while he had a look.
After a few minutes the guy asked the Doc "can you see it"?
The Doc says "no, I can't see any sign of it".
The guy says "that's funny, I can see you".
