Just watching an item on the news

They were talking about the new curriculum and how they want more people doing
"the 3 sciences"

the graphics showed some science looking stuff on paper
including some chemical diagrams


Using the wrong symbol for a Benzene ring
they were ditching symbol that when I was doing 'A' levels!!!

So that's a shite day over and done with. Mrs P has broken her left clavicle. Six weeks in a sling while it heals. I think the morphine has kicked in as she's started talking about Negroni recipes - completely out of the blue. This could have been far worse so small mercies and all that.

One tip I'll pass on. I rang seven friends who live within 200 metres to get help to lift Mrs P up. No one answered. Since then they have all messaged on the lines of "sorry, I always keep my phone on silent." I rather hope they won't any longer. You think help is a call away........it isn't.

That really gets my goat. A couple of times I have phoned Mrs Tkk for information and got no answer. When I got home and asked why she hadn't answered the reply was " oh, it must be on silent " my reply was along the lines of " what's the effing point of having an effing phone then "

During a recent parents evening Mrs D joking dared me to shout SCIENCE! lime Magnus Pike in the video to Thomas Dolby's Blined me With science.

And I did. I think the science teacher was too young to get it.

Morning, been awake for ages.
The fireworks last night all stopped around 9pm, which is very strange,
but with the price of them I can see why.
We have a large firework display on Saturday up at the school,
I have never been, but it's suppose to be very good and raises
a lot of money for the school too.

Good morning folks. A rather splendid afternoon at the BIC in Bournemouth to see daughter get her Masters. A long ceremony which got a bit bum numbing towards the end. The reception afterwards saw me necking 3 glasses of fizz 😁. There were tables dotted round the romm laden with a selection of pastries and cakes in miniature form, I necked a load of those too 🍰👍.
Weather was so mild that we walked the mile or so back to her place, stopping only for an impromptu visit to the 29029 Nepalese restaurant

Friend is popping round at 10:00 to go for a run. 15 degrees and a light breeze forecast so should be quite pleasant. Mrs Tkk is going to her " Portland girls " meet up for lunch at the Old Thatch in Wimborne, ( Portland being the ward name not the location ).
I still have some Ikea-ing assembly to finish, and then some tinkering with my winter project to have the old ipad display real time information about what's happening energy wise around the house.

I put new, batteries with more mAh's in our garden solar lights yesterday. Even without charging them, most were still glowing this morning st 06:00 when I got up as opposed to fizzling out within a couple of hours.
