Morning group walk done. We'd arranged to pause at 11:00 and observe the silence. We were on the top trail, the remainder of the group were following the trail through the woods. The wind carried the sound of a lone bugle note from somewhere distant, which was repeated two minutes later.
When we got back to our starting point I was surprised to see that the ladybirds are still active.

the weather is absolute 💩 would love to 🛏️💤 and wake up next Spring

It is crap but we always try and crack on and just do what we normally do, if we let a bit of rain stop play we wouldn’t get anything done. I went out on my motorbike, and even with a downpour it was enjoyable, came back and Mrs Gunk and I cleared all the leaves in the garden, they’re always easier to pick up when they’re wet.

Just watching an episode of Ambulance
and one of the call handlers is a young woman who looks amazing
clearly spent a long time getting ready for work with the eyelashes, makup and all that

reminded me of when we were having form photos at school when I was a teacher

when it was changed so that the form group had to include the form teacher - they also had to schedule female members of staff to have extra time to get ready
the male teachers had to cover their classes for the 15 minutes before that classes photo was due

which we happily did - after we stopped laughing about it

The girls loos were chaos that lunchtime with girls getting their makeup and hair right as well!!!

I joined in a wore a different tie

the girls inmy form group innsisted on fixing my hair (what there is of it) and makeing sure my tie and jacket were right
(that was a deliberate policy on my part - they were an "interesting" group and that sort of thing made them feel I was one of them)
