So - pre-op meeting in the hospital tomorrow
and operation on Saturday
and new sofas arriving next Wednesday
by which time the old sofas need to be gone - and I will not be able to do anything with them for a few days
so - a plan has been hatched
today I crawled around under one of them and after some faffing about and trying different screwdrive heads and ways of getting leverage
I finally managed to dismantle it into the back, seat and the base
And have taken them to the tip
so we now only have one sofa in the lounge - and my wife and I have to sit on the same on
which we have not done since COVid!!!
anyway - some arrangement of the junk we tend to put on "the other seat"
and her son is booked to come down the day before the new ones arrive and do the other one
I have a detailed list of what needs undoing and how
and the tools needed are all together
should work
(which are the classic "Famous Last Words"!!!)

Did i tell you i received a text from the nhs,it arrived during the church service on Sunday.Appointment with nurse at the Health Centre Monday 11-30.So down i go,they gave me a full going over.Blood pressure,took blood,weight 13st 11lbs,an ECG and height. and they took the pass also.All this was done because a Doctor requested it,i have no idea who the Doctor was or why it was done.But last week i got a copy of the letter sent by my cancer consultant,so maybe it was a check up after that,all is good.
