Morning all

Getting on the HPC freebus to Minehead this morning.
Bit of shopping and lunch in Spoons.
Snow forecast all around us but we seem to be in a snow free zone.

It ha snowed here, but, so far, not cold enough to settle, we are only 2 miles from coast.

Wondered why my electricity usage was so high yesterday. It turns out that the small blower in the outhouse that I had on a timer schedule was actually running continuously. oops!

Chilly walk done. That northerly wind felt like it was trying to strip the skin off my face on the exposed sections. I had to put my hood up for some protection for a while.

Lovely and clear and sunny now though so, although it won't warm up much, at least it looks nice.

Back on the porridge this morning.

Just been looking and the map I have just looked at has us in "The SNow Zone"
which we were not on the one I looked at last night

Even in the AMber part!!!!!

not worried - we are low lying and near water - if we get any snow worth talking about then the rest of the area is going to be snowed in!!

I was thinking - except for the Halls at University I have never lived anywhere more than a couple of miles from salt water
and only in Bangor, North Wales have I been over 100ft above sea level
(and that was the closest to the actual sea - but the hill up to the house was a b****r!!!

Things to do indoors for a while before venturing out with the dog. I might pop into my favourite local café for a cuppa & a free sausage for Bonnie 🐶

Just back from a chilly dog walk. We had rain then sleet and then more rain. It's sleeting again now.

I put a scoop of protein powder in my porridge this morning. It will be interesting to see if it helps keep me feeling full a bit longer. In theory it should as protein is usually more satiating.

Morning folks quite a covering of snow out there and the sky looks apocalyptic brrr! will walk the beach in a while and an indoor spin for exercise.
Hope my roses dont arrive as wont be able to heel them in, could put them in a bucket with some compost i spose.
Have been wearing my cycling beanie hat under my cap when going for a walk, keeps my lugholes from freezing!

This is why I go to Tesco

The car park is under the shop so it is always dry when you are putting the the shopping in the car and walking to and from the entrance!

I've just ordered one of these little cube lamps that project nice colours on your ceiling. They look very restful I think.
