Getting old but not past it

Last day of invigilating tomorrow until January. One lad always comes in late then sits down and do nothing until time is up, apart from scribbling all over his test paper.
I wonder why he comes in at all. I guess his parents are ordering him to sit the exam whether he wants to or not, and definitively not in his case.

Checked mine, it's Oct 2028 which tells me i have at least that long before I pop my clogs.

I got my bus pass when I was 60. I think they run for 5 years and I'm on my 3rd reissue ( they have kept the original photo ). Had a bit of a dodgy time health wise when I thought i'd better just get the 1 year Railcard instead of the 3 year one, but fortunately just keep plodding along 🤞😁

Year 11, so 15 / 16 years old.

My Bro envigilated for the same age group. He lasted (i think) 2 years and that was more than enough for him.
He switched to helping needy children (aged 6-7) with thier reading and that gave him much pleasure.

Today is my birthday, I've done nothing. The weather has been unbelievably wet. Oh well, tomorrow should be better. Hoping to get to Morton lochs in Tentsmuir forest over the weekend. But, not by bike, it may be a bit soggy for that.
