You're right. We have thousands of photos which rarely get seen. I'm not sure what to make of it. In the loft we have photo albums packed with pictures of the kids, holidays, family events etc. Just last week I was searching through them for a particular photo I remembered from 40+ years ago. Real treasures. The stuff on our phones? I'm not sure about these. Do they have the same value? Probably not.
On the other hand we see snaps of family life we would otherwise miss or perhaps not even hear of. A quick WhatsApp message with two or three images says a lot.
I feel there's a lot of positives to the way we use a camera today but having an actual photo? Hard to beat that and I think we've lost something with that.

Morning folks 
wind is moaning n howling, have been some impressive waves rolling in on the beach recently hopefully bring in plenty of seaweed for my garden. Talking about wind...i was staring out to sea scanning for otters//dolphins etc and thought i was totally alone so naturally let out a ripping fart [as you do] hee hee and realised someone was stood 15ft behind me 
no idea where she came from but sure i saw a smirk as i walked off
So today i will be doing my usual.. spinning the turbo, watching dvds, walking the beach and probably farting!

It's going to be a breezy day, but nothing like some of the country is having. No rain is forecast either.
An early trip to the Vets with Harry, his gum has gone a bit manky where he had a tooth out a couple of weeks ago.
MrsP is off to the Peacock theatre, which is part of Sadlers Wells with her friend this afternoon to watch a modern version of the Snowman.
I'll be looking after the animals.

Good morning. Rain, rain go away, Come again another day!! 🌧️🌧️ Yes, it's raining.
Last night I sat through 80 minutes of utter boredom followed by 15 minutes of excitment................by which time I was too bored to get excited. Later I started to watch a film about 10.30, woke up just after midnight. Yep, Paul went to Ewood, came home, sat on sofa, fell asleep.
As usual I woke in the middle of the night. I could hear a very faint whistling sound, thought it must be a house alarm somewhere. Woke this morning, still there, went downstairs nothing, outside nothing, back upstairs yes there it is. It seems to be loudest close to the spare room radiator. The CH is off so it can't be the pump though that is in the bathroom next door. CH is on now and I can still hear the whistle if I go upstairs. This is going to be a task and a half!
Today? At 10.00 I have a Digital Skills event. Along with three others, two from AbilityNet ad a fellow u3a member we are holding a drop in session for u3a members who need help with their IT devices. This is going to be a lot of fun!! I'm off at 9.15 to set up, I mustn't hang around here. Later I'll go to the gym but first I'm heading to my LBS. I've come to a decision. I'm going to buy a Cervelo Caledonia. This has taken a long time to decide. It was a choice between Pinarello X and the Cervelo. I've ridden the Pinarello. It's a great bike but I didn't feel the love. My Cervelo C3 is years old. When I climb on her it feels every bit as good as the first time. The love is there. Still. That bike was a leap of faith, the Caledonia will be one. I can't find an LBS that will give me a test ride. If I could they would get the sale. My LBS no longer stocks Cervelo but I have told the owner I want one. Today I'm going to see him and ask for help with the model, spec, sizing etc. As no shop can give me a ride there is no loyalty. Once I've got the spec etc. I'll go shopping for the best deal and get my local LBS to do the build. I've been going there for 30+ years, I feel sure they will help out.

Showery wander done. I lost count of how many times I had to put my hood up and down. The wind must be blowing the showers over really quickly.
