It’s cold this morning, about -12C and we’ve received over 30cm of snow in the last 24 hours.

So why is the guy across the street choosing today to cut down the old maple tree trunk beside his house. The branches were stripped off last summer but we are still talking a trunk 12’ tall and at least 20” in diameter… why.

And, while we are at it, why does the guy next to him think he can clear his walk of all that snow with a tiny cheap leaf blower.

why?

I hate choosing decor.
I have gone for........
Sage green curtains**
Very pale green ( almost stone) walls.
Carpet, I have yet to choose but earthy/ brown mottled.
**the curtains are way, way more expensive than I expected but Sue always used to say, I am still living in the 60s.

I had a good brecky so lunch will be apple pie and custard.

Good plan
if your walls are already green then no-one will notice if they go mouldy!!!!!

I have returned. Much lighter in my pocket. Crikey meat is bloody expensive now. Eye Wateringly in fact.

The sky is very grey and foggy here. We are expecting rain by 3 pm according to my weather ap.

Tell me about it. I’ve been eating a few more carbs the last 3 days but back on strict carnivore tomorrow. I have plenty mince, some venison burgers, steak, bacon and eggs. That should keep me going for several days.

Went for a ride this morning

it was cold - I mean REALLY cold - about 4degree C!!!!

(OK - some people might have it worse - but this is me so it is more important!!!!)

anyway - went normal loop

Main problem was a bloke - came across him on a tarmac section of canal path
where it went under a wide main road - so a fairly long tunnel under it with a flat roof - therefore echoey

anyway - rang my bell - which is quite loud by not aggressive - the ding-a-ling-a-ling type not single ding type

which he did not respond to

I slowed down as usual and as I got closer said "excuse me please" - as usual - you never know if someone has earphone in or is a bit deaf

anyway - he looked back and moved over
so I passed him slowly

as I passed him he shouted
"You should have a bell - get a bell"

I responded by shouting back "This bell" and ringing it a lot
and "I did - you ignored it"

now - that is just not like me
it does annoy me
but responding so much and feeling so annoyed - even angry - about it is very very unusual for me

and last time I took my blood pressure it was much highe rthan normal

which is worrying

I was upstairs in the back bedroom that looks over the backyard. I noticed a delivery lady walk up the yard and anticipated the porch door opening. Nope. I realised she was fiddling around below the kitchen windowsill. Bizarre.

When she left I investigated. Positioning this meant wiggling it past three pots and two bamboo canes. The grey thing is our porch door............less than three feet away!! Very bizarre.

Probably fed up with the job so applied for a new post with MI5 ( they're recruiting at the moment ) and she's practicing her " dead letter drop " technique.

I get irritated and angry really quickly too. I keep telling myself to chill but it doesn’t work.

Good afternoon from a grey Dorset. The lurgy is slowly abating 🤞it's been about 10 days so I will be glad to see the back of it. An adventure earlier, there's a No.32 bus which follows a convoluted route to Bournemouth, passing through vast swathes of Bungalow lands inhabited by the retired. It skirts Wimborne, The Stour at Canford school and in places it seems as if the planes on final approach into Hurn might leave tyre marks on the roof if the bus happens to be a double decker. Anyway it eventually dropped us off at Dunhelm where Mrs Tkk was able to inspect a rug she is thinking of buying. We visited the in store café for a snack and to kill time before heading home again. The café was very pleasant, light and airy and the halloumi panini with salad was delicious.
Back home and stuff ordered for delivery as it's too ungainly for a car or the bus.
