Morning.
Think the worst of storm passed through overnight, now it's just the regular wet and windy day.
Feathers in my study leaving evidence of cat activity last night. The tools required for vacuum repair finally arrived yesterday evening so that's plan for this morning and then vacuum said feathers etc. Great.
Weights later and a possible ride outside tomorrow with a mate as forecast looks decent amazingly.

Well I got into the thing, now to repair and reassemble. It was fiddly but not quite as bad as I feared.
Edit ; reassembled and all working. Another success for the home DIYer against the odds ^_^

WOW. Rush hour on the M65. I sat in the inside lane at 50, middle lane 60ish, no one, literally no one, doing 80 down the outside

It's heavy, cold, lashing horizontal rain and wind. Spotted a car up ahead on the hard shoulder on a bridge. A woman behind the car with no coat on struggling to get the rain cover up on her pram. The poor lady must have been drenched and frozen. I nearly stopped but knew I shouldn't. The advice is get out of the car but in a storm with a small child in a pram?? I don't know about that, she had nowhere to go.

On the way home an hour later the RAC were there.

No rain and in fact sunshine but it's now blowing an absolute gale here. Gusting 40mph+.
Washing hung inside as it either wouldn't stay on line or line would snap if put out.
