Tried a new gin tonight. Verdict? It's a gin but not a standout one. Difficult to pour. I may decant it. Haysmith's from Aldi at half the price is far better.

It's never been all about rock 'n' roll. I feel this is one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard, perhaps the most powerful. It reduced me to tears.

Yes, they look very smart & 'clean - we will have them in our next house.
Times have changed! We have a couple we are friends with who have those old-fashioned wooden battens on the wall with the curtain rail fixed to that. Hideous!
Each to his own but I am with you. I have always disliked them.

.Aldis own brand lower price Vodka is imo very nice. They have a 'better' one but it's some £4 dearer .

Suddenly the weather here feels just right here…perfect for a small pub crawl tomorrow. I’ve been doing an anti-dry-January thing (not sure if I mentioned it) - #31PubsInJanuary: I’ve managed 30 so far 🍻. A truly selfless task aimed at helping keep pubs open 🤓

Meanwhile….expensive curtains are up, now it’s down to MrsMikeIOW to take the bottoms up ever so slightly. My work there is done 🤪

I always have a drink or two on New Years Day
just be make it clear that I am not doing dry January
If I want to give up for a period of time I will do it because I want to and I will decide when and how long
and probably tell no-one
