My first flight was in 1956 to Gibraltar it had propellers too.
I have given up snoozing, I tried, but never fell asleep

one of my frequent destinations! often a hairy place to land I found

Over the years, I became an accomplished sleeper on flights, I think my record was, flight from Dubai to LHR, I remember getting my inflight drink (can of Fosters, it was a Quantas flight) next thing, I recall is waking up at LHR, still clutching the can of Fosters 😂

Watch it next time you fly, O'Leary is thinking of adopting a fare pricing system based on weight. Early days, but it appears as though you could leave some of your luggage behind to offset slight differences.

"Aircraft safety" is his excuse. Doesn't want to overload any.

What a great idea!

Nice idea, they've even demonstrated how passengers and luggage and their luggage would be weighed together at the check-in.

If the margins of aircraft safety are that tight though, I'd be bothered about flying in the first place. So I don't believe his motive behind it.

Me neither
he does not have a reputation for putting anything before profit if he can get away with it

I think thats been looked at before by others but rejected due the fear of racism lawsuits - Chinese folk are liable to be smaller and lighter than Caucasians or even Samoans and they cant penalise someone financially for a racial characteristics. Well, they can, but it'll quickly come back to haunt them.

He left the interior a mess. Looks like a plasterers radio in there.

If your talking about the weighing of passenger and luggage at the same time, then couldn't a smaller, lighter person expect either a bigger luggage allowance?

Why would say, a midget, need a bigger allowance? Their clothes would weigh less and fit into small, and thus lighter, suitcases.

They'd also eat and drink less, thus reducing the amount of provisions the aircraft needs to carry.

If it's added/applied as excess baggage is at present, then maybe they'd avoid being hit with surcharges.
Surcharges apply to excess/overweight baggage only, at present. A lighter person shouldn't be hit, with an excess baggage surcharge, if they start using it.

No drinking and eating to excess on holiday either.
