Good morning all.
A grey start to the day here, and it's not going to improve.
Domestics today, then i have a library book to return and I'll get a haircut. Exciting eh!
If the rain does stop, and i don't think it will i will get out on the bike for a while, if it doesn't, I'll do an hour on the turbo in the mancave.

Horrible walking the dogs. Of course, they were originally bred to retrieve fishing nets in the cold waters off Newfoundland (waterproof coats, webbed feet, and that powerful tail for swimming) so they didnt even notice!

I've got some sheetkicking to do on behalf of the parish council today.

This sign has appeared at a local play park...

All well and good, except we don't own the park or the land and have nothing to do with it so when Johnny Spottiebum falls off their substandard equipment and brains himself his mummy will be on the blower to us demanding compo!

If they don't take it down today I'll be putting a strip of gaffa tape over the pertinent paragraph.

Morning all

'Orrible manky weather out there. Bit of a change from yesterday, which was actually quite sunny.
General pottering day in prospect.

Was it a biplane?

First time fixed wing, funnily enough, was in a biplane; a 1948 Stampe - that's me in the front seat.
First time I ever flew in anything was actually in a helicopter.

Until recently my Dad owned a plane, a Socata TB20 Trinidad (G-TIBS).

Alas, he was struggling to pass the medical as the big 8-zero approach so he sold it about 2 years ago.

Oddly, although he could fly fixed wing, including multi engine and tail draggers, he couldn't fly rotary wing aircraft... which was a bit of a pain for a helicopter salesman. That said, most of his colleagues couldn't fly at all.

He tells me there are more controls than limbs and like patting your head and rubbing your tummy at the same time, you either get it or you dont.

Are you sure they are not really Beavers ?
