It's still raining heavily here. The moggies have come in eventually, and Harry the big tabby came down the road and around the field with Millie. I'm sure he thinks he is a dog.

Someone here has perked up in anticipation of a handful of dry food. She knows when it’s nearly 8pm.

Morning walk done in mild, spring like conditions. The groundskeepers were sorting out the water hazards at the local golf course as we walked along the trail way, looks like new life belts too.
Drizzle started after we reached the pub. Tried a pint of Plum Porter which was excellent. Back home now ready to doze off in the chair...
I think up here they’d be finding new water hazards….the Soar Valley is the wettest I’ve seen it 😱
Plum porter? The Titanic? Didn’t go down well for me: too fruity. Wife partial to it though, in v. small doses 🫣
Prefer the sound of Posties day in ‘Spoons above: defo more my style of ale 🍻

I’ve been enjoying the curling at the Olympics. Great gold for Sweden down to the final stone.
Shame Team UK didn’t get the bronze. One terrible end seemed to doom them.
Struggling to get beyond 4th places this season 😔

Still, nice to have it on in the background…we head to the Alps in a few weeks. We love having the winter sports on to get in the mood. Can’t wait to see how slow we in comparison when we are sliding down the mountains this year 🤣

Mark Simmons at the Comedy Festival tonight. A very funny fella. Mostly cheeky grins & gentle (but funny) humour: a reliably good act to catch. Always races out afterwards to thank people as they leave & have a selfie: nice bloke!
Night all!
