Wet day ahead.
Off to London for an old pals leaving drinks later. Was hoping I could walk from St Pancras to Moorgate (allowed myself plenty of time), but looks like almost certain light rain all day. Do I walk anyway? Get my walking trousers on?!
Decisions decisions.
Hopefully not so many beers I wake up in Sheffield on the way back 🫣
(not that I’ve anything against Sheffield…but it is 70miles from home 🤣)

Oh yes…& more Leicester Comedy last night. We went with a German pal of ours. 2 barking mad young men telling a story that I couldn’t possibly begin to explain. Bonkers, & yet their intimate audience of 10 all enjoyed it, including our German pal 🤣

Are Strava and Garmin at loggerheads again by any chance? My activities from Garmin are no longer syncing to Strava and there seems to be others with the same problem on the Garmin section on Reddit.

Well, two of my granddaughters, from the same family, have Scarlet Fever. #3 was here all day Tuesday and we had a lot of cuddles and general crawling all over Granddad. I saw #1 on Tuesday evening, she's five, she sat on my lap and read to me, very proudly, from her school book. Then we had a cuddle.......

Hmmmmmm............

I'd offer to go and help but dare not for Mrs P's sake and my own

This is the sort of logic that should remain amongst husbands. That or I can see a lot of stuff heading my way.......🤣

I'm not sure I dare mention this next bit. I pay £23 at a real Turkish barber shop. That's for haircut, beard trim and shape, eyebrows, ear flaming, nose wax and a head massage. This takes about 35 - 40 minutes. It's wonderfully relaxing, I see it as a treat, pampering. I go every 4 - 6 weeks. I don't have much hair. A £5 buzz cut would do but there's no pleasure in that.

I don't know anything about it but male grooming in this way seems very much a part of Turkish culture.

When I have gone to the Turkish barbers they charge me about £25, that’s for running the electric clippers over my head. Then a beard and moustache trim and waxing of said moustache. Takes about 20 minutes and then the cheeky gits then want to take a picture for their social media page.

Done a bit of DIY. Need a section of skirting board replacing, so have cut and mitred some new wood size. I've painted the bottom edge to reduce moisture ingress from damp carpets (spillages, wet shoes not being removed, etc) and over the weekend ill affix it in position.

Then finished rubbing down the Volvo front bumper and got the first coat of primer laid down.

Now lunch.
