Just been checking the local paper and a local hotel has been given a ZERO food hygiene rating
Just to be nosey, I checked what other places in the area are like that
It rather stands out that a lot of the places with a ZERO rating are takeaways on the same street!!
I do wonder how those places make any money - one might suspect they have another string to their bow!

That's Dinner
Interesting one.
When we were at school we had 'dinner time' from 12.00 midday. That meant 18.00 was tea time.
I'm with you on this. Dinner time has become gentrified and become luncheon. When you were out all day as a kid, you went home for your tea when you got hungry.
And I am a born and bred Londoner.

Yes we did too "school dinners"
but at home we had breakfast, lunch and dinner.
My father was from the north too, but mother was from Gibraltar
When I met my girl friend they has the same, but supper was a new thing to me
normally a sandwich and a bag of crisps.
