The Retirement Thread

Spent the night with blocked/runny nose, woke up feeling ill.
Tested the cars battery only 40%. Put it on charge. Its now 10yrs old so would not be suprised if it needs a new one soon.
Once the car has some charge in it I will load it with my lawnmower and go around to my fiancee's house and mow her lawn. ( when her son moved out he took her lawnmower).

Salut. Another trip to the tip at 13.30 and I will need one more later in the week.
Step son has brought a big pile of wood to be cut up too so will be busy for the next few days.
Using the wood stove this winter has cost me nothing due to a good supply of free wood so far but it is coming to an end sadly.

I always wash my own car, I find it relaxing and therapeutic. Also, I do a better job than an automatic car wash.

No - ours needs doing in Widnes - and so do a lot in the area

I believe there is a place for the car wash. Not used one for a long while but when I was doing a lot of winter motorway driving the local auto wash was a godsend. £3.00 every week and all was good.
We also used a Turkish hand-wash place every now and again. It is near town and £15 would get us a full valet and free parking for the day...... we could either walk into town or jump the train to Liverpool.
If you were late back they would leave your keys with the kebab shop opposite.

I got in trouble t'other week. I made a jokey type comment only for my daughter to remind me that her niece is now her nephew.....oops!
