Crikey, I've forgotten to pop in. Grey, cold and heavy rain this morning.

I'm currently at Blackpool Victoria hospital where they do a pretty good Full English for £5.40. After a night fast it's deserved. No panic. I'm fine. I'm part of a clinical research trial into bowel cancer. I get checked out every six months. That's one of the motivations for taking part.

This afternoon is Film Club and we will be watching About Time https://share.google/V2TWdLdD4jdXnT1tk

When I get home I'll make a decent coffee and catch up. The coffee here is grim.

Barnet,
Just got back from walking the dog. What a difference to yesterday's weather. The strong breeze is quite cool, and it is very cloudy.
I'll be out and about on the bike soon, a book yo return to the library, a prescription for MrsP to pick up, and I'm going to call on a friend/drinking buddy who hasn't been seen around for a few weeks. Is is always around walking his dog, but his absence has been not noticeable. I haven't got his number but I know his address.

I'm a big fan of freezing leftovers and recycling plastics either in the recycle bin or re-use at home.

It appears not all plastic supermarket containers are microwave friendly 😳 We didn't have gravy last night........

Missed you at BVH by 3 days!

We were amazed that all the flower beds outside were in full bloom. All we have are a few snowdrops out.

What a difference 50 miles south makes!

Someone wants to know me!!!

Yup - a lady on Facebook has sent me a frendship request!!!

Clearly my inner greatness has shone through and I am more appreciated that I thought!!

She is called Emelda

or maybe Claire - who looks very very very similar and has the same dress - and takes photos from the same angle
or she might be called Jennifer who also shops in the same place

she also likes taking dogs for walks in Buckinghamshire - that is what dogging means isn;t it??

Oh and she likes "the older man" as she appears on a site called "OAP Dating" - which I had never heard of but maybe "some other people on here" might have

I wonder if I should post her detail on "Drago's Special Thread" ???

isn;t google image search wonderful

Yes, it tasted OK but the gravy hadn't warmed at all. I took it out if the freezer early morning, left to defrost and popped it in the microwave as I was serving up tea. The pot collapsed and the gravy didn't warm. Weird.

Pot probably absorbed all the radiation and so none got through to the gravy

hence the heat built up in the plastic which melted it

which is a weird choice of material for the container!

Blimey you lot have been busy! Nine pages and all thoroughly errrrr.......hmmmm.........entertaining.

First and easily foremost @Drago Happy Birthday 🎉🎂

Quite:

Breakfast
Dinner
Tea
Supper

Sorry. No. Breakfast - Lunch - Tea - whisky

I have risen!

is it Easter already

Nope, but we all sincerely hope he only means he's got out of bed.

Just listening to the Swinging Blue Jeans on Gold radio. Them were the days. I worn a tab shirt, blue serge waistcoat, ice blue jeans and Cuban heels......I was so super cool

........and about 18????

I got in trouble t'other week. I made a jokey type comment only for my daughter to remind me that her niece is now her nephew.....oops!
Our next door neighbour's son became their daughter while still at primary school. Another neighbour's granddaughter became grandson about ten years ago. I believe he/she now identifies as non-binary. I think these kids are VERY brave and their parents incredibly supportive.

Slight incident to report this morning..
Whilst hoovering, my dressing gown gaped a bit causing MrsPete to swoon & almost have an attack of the vapours!
After sitting down for a while she's now fully recovered... 👍
I recall you have history on the wardrobe malfunction front - can I lend you a belt????
Missed you at BVH by 3 days!

We must coordinate better next time. I have a colonoscopy in six months, part of the trial, and will need a coffee afterwards!!!

I think it contained humus when I bought it so not surprising it melted. Never occurred to me before. I'll still re-use them but will empty the contents out first in future.

Is this cr*p weather badly affecting anyone on here ?
Just looking at next week's forecast and it's wet every day.
I am fortunate in that my gardens drains very well but even so I have had areas covered in standing water. I have seen (on the news) some horror stories.
How is everyone doing ?
