A weekend at ‘the kids’ (& partners) in London started well today 😎
Several hours at IWM London in Lambeth - what a lot of stuff there is to see - followed by a cracking curry & a second place in a fun pub quiz in Brixton 💪
Fancied trying one interesting stout, but the barman kindly pointed out it was TEN POUNDS FIFTY FOR ⅓ PINT 😱
Stuck with a London Black instead 🍻
Only a couple of drunk old weirdos laughing manically after they tried (& failed) to ‘engage’ with us on the way back 🙄
Aiming to get out most of tomorrow (they are all working)…might try Ham House NT in Richmond. Should keep us busy enough 👍

Good morning. Rain. I woke at 3.30, got up at 4.00, had a brew, bed again at 5.00, up again at 6.00........or something along those lines.

Today we're heading into Manchester to see Machu Picchu VR Experience – The Immersive Tour https://share.google/frukdK5g7SzSr4DIn

I'm told it's wonderful, brilliant and some have said unsettling..........I will report back. My first experience of virtual reality.

Lunch with #1 son at an Italian sandwich bar. I'm hoping there will be somewhere to sit.

Sounds interesting (the Macha Picchu, not getting up/down etc!). If you get near The Van Gogh experience, that is worth seeing: includes a nice bit of VR near the end 👍

I feel like VR is the low-carbon future of travel 🤷‍♂️

Meanwhile, a drizzly day out to Richmond for us beckons…after a cuppa first 😎
