I have a thing that tells me when the toast is burnt

My wife's nose work brilliantly for that!

Now - today

Wife's son is supposed to be coming round to help clear the gutter from the rain forest level vegetation that has sprung up over the winter

I suspect a dead pigeon at the back - but may be just leaves

anyway - I have borrowed a ladder form the bloke next door but I am "not good" with heights so he is coming to do that bit

mind you - he was supposed to do it last weekend and forgot
so.......

He will probably bring the kids with him

so we will have to persuade the little one that he CAN'T help Dad and Pops

he will be fine with not climbing the ladder as he is a bit if a wimp

Unlike a bloke I used to know who had twin boys and was working on his roof one day - kids were in the house with their Mum
and he turned round to see one was already on the roof and coming towards him and the other was just getting to the top!!!!!

He said he KNEW he had to stay calm and not worry them as panic is the mainr eason for falling
but talking calmly to them to persuade them to climb back down was the most difficult thing he has ever done!!

Morning.
A decent day. Dry, not too windy and sunshine. Bit chilly but can cope with that.
So, off for a ride. I did a flat 25miles yesterday and tried to keep it super easy but v strong headwind made that almost impossible. Without effort I'd have gone backwards.

A Question....... what are the signs of going loopy ?
I've just gone to check the sports progs in the TV magazine.....only to find i threw it in the bin yesterday. Not to worry, I kept last weeks .
I've just had to go rooting for it and fortunately it wasnt messed up

Q day today. Late night last night out for a birthday meal. I over ate (it was a very posh restaurant) and didnt sleep well because I was stuffed.

Also I dont drink bit was persuaded into a shandy. I asked the waiter to make sure they were very weak, but two shandy's later I have a f@#£%^g headache.

Ill tidy up, music practice, erect the rain gauge for my new weather station and maybe a bit of studying later.
