Good morning. It's bright and breezy in sunny Lancashire. I'm having a chores day and cracking on in the hope of a couple of hours on the allotment and maybe down to the gym.
An excellent ride yesterday with the club. 66 miles averaging 15.4. Exactly as it should be. The club chair was on the ride, we're going to discuss this later so I can get him on board with why the ride worked.........for once in a blue moon.
Next task is ironing. 😃

Me as well. My mind was playing games for a minute.
A short ride done, i cut it shorter than I was going to do as it was drizzling and I lost heart after about 5 miles.
Downstairs vacuumed, and the kitchen floor washed. I don't know why I did it today, because it will look just as bad in a day or so.
The bins have been put out for tomorrow morning, and i am now going to have a bowl of my homemade vegetable soup.
Not a very exciting day, but reasonably productive so far.
I shall listen to the Spurs game on the radio, they are away to Fulham, so I'm not expecting a win for the Lillies.

Mine would only take pills if they were hidden in a large lump of butter
it had to be totally hidden - any chance of her seeing it or feeling it with her tongue and she would spend however long it took to spit it out!!!

Been out for a ride
BIG problem - start of the ride the ebike system said 25 miles range left
which is fine - normal ride is 20 miles and if necessary there are a couple of slight shortcuts
so started off
got to about 8 or 9 miles and checked range again
four miles!!!
so I had to enter plan b and ride with no electric assist - which normally fine
until I discovered that tehre was a strong headwind all the way along the canal banks on the way back!!!
it was OK after the canal tuned round to head direct to Runcorn but before that it was very difficult
even got off and walked for a big as my breathing was getting bad
Nice people on the cafe boat offered to pug my battery in for a bit but I never take the charger with me
but got home OK
and I am telling myself it was good for me!!!
anyway - lunch time!

We have free electric today - until 4 anyway
it is a "thing" from EDF as we apparently reduced out load on the system between 4 and 7 the week before last
we should have reduced it last week as well as I told the solar panel system to charge the batteries from the grid between 2 and 4 - so anything we used from 4 onwards would use the batteries instead of the grid
It is quite weird having the microwave on - plus both sides of the air fryer and the kettle
and seeing teh smart meter saying we are using naff alll!
