Morning.
Cracking day so plan is a decent ride with cafe stop. Got a few rugby podcasts downloaded to listen to along the way.
First, coffee and porridge.

Well thats it - its my birthday

I hate birthdays - no idea wat is happening but my wife has a "Mike's birthday - leave clear" on the claendar

and I don;t like not knowing
I worry

OK - I worry about everything
but I like to know what is happening


so - either we are going somewhere for a meal
or we are going out for a meal with the kids after they get home from school

I'm sure it will work out

somehow!

Morning had my scan waiting for the results with fingers crossed

I've had three of these, one was an emergency and carried out ASAP. In your apparent position I would be taking comfort while waiting for the results if no one is rushing. Good luck, I will be thinking of you.

I will relate a little story as I sit here in my kit, a decision was made. Jeffrey Hill is a 3.5 mile climb, pretty much straight up varying from 3 -,6%. There's a kick at the top that I'd put at 10+% but what do I know. I wasn't having a very good day. I was riding solo, it was windy. There's a dip before the final kick that I sailed down for impetus. I slowed as the kick started and passed a horse and rider. A bit further on I started to struggle, a little further still and the horse and rider passed me.

Oh, the shame........................

Wander done. Mostly dry apart from a fine drizzle which started about half a mile from home.

Breakfast now. I think I have been a bit generous with the porridge this morning.

In cafe mid ride. What a lovely day, bright sunshine, dry roads and first time in months able to ride sans mudguards

Music practice done. Started digging out the front garden - its tiny, so going to gravel it.

I'm knackered so having a rest afternoon ( it was going to be a rest day but it's sunny and the garden needed attention)
Just had a ( genuine) text from Nationwide saying that they will be refunding the erroneous Credit Card balance transfer that occurred on my account. I'm looking forward to the detailed report from the Fraud Team, I'm leaning towards an internal error rather than fraud, but I have given them a list of questions that I want answered.

Snooze snoozed. Dog walked x 2. Car collected from MOT garage (Passed with no advisories). Washing plucked from the whirlygig (still damp)

Carpet fitters are here. They dont mess around do they. I'm paying an agreed sum for the job so, as long as they do it well I can't complain but bl**dy hell they must earn big bucks in a day

Had an offer on my sidecar that I couldn't refuse, so it's now sold.
Went for a blatt to Minehead and back this morning on the 250BSA. My! It's a rorty little thing - sounds like gatling howitzer. At least MrsD knows when I'm coming back home on it.
