Mrs Tkk has drawn my attention to the fact that our local M+S now sell a " Toasting Loaf ". Have I been inadvertently toasting the wrong bread all this time? Why wasn't I informed ? I just had a couple of slices of " reassuringly expensive " seeded sourdough ( yellow sticker, so ne extravagance here ) that seems to have survived the toasting process.🤔
Where you and most of the population has been going wrong is...... you have been toasting bread whereas this is bread you can toast.
I didnt get where I am by not knowing these things.
Same here, weeding, hoeing and general tidying up. There are ladybirds on the forget-me-nots and I've seen a couple of Bees on the flowers of the Rosemary bush.
I also washed the car, MrsP was on about taking it to the Albanians up the road, but for half an hour's work, inside and out has been, done saved £25 or so.
I'll give the grass another going over when it is sufficiently dry.

I cleaned my car inside and out before it's MOT yesterday.
Apparently, there's a warning about Saharan rain on its way so it'll have been a waste of time 🏜️

Fiancee came over and presented me with a valentines card, she had lost it down the back of the microwave for the last 3 weeks. Better late than never.

Just had my new drivers license in the post. Only took about a week and a half, from posting to getting it back.
I asked Mrs Tkk if there was anywhere she'd like to go to celebrate her 60th ( this was a while back 😉). She said she would like to have a weekend in Bristol as there was a beer festival being held in the Engine Shed next to Temple Meads station. 🍺🎂😎
Turns out we don’t need any tips for Folkestone….got round the corner and heard a crashing clank 😳
Assumed it was a manhole cover: the car sounded okay, & steering felt okay….
45 minutes in, we stopped for a coffee at Northampton Services. THEN we noticed a clunk on full lock 😱
AA came out within an hour: front spring broken at the bottom. He made some calls & found Tyres Northampton could get them replaced today 🙏
So….sat at their very clean customer area, awaiting the all clear.
Over £800 lighter, but I console myself this is just a wear’n’tear item: it just tore at the wrong moment 🫣. Or maybe the right: I can’t imagine the repair being faster or easier had we noticed in France 🤷♂️
We might not get to Folkestone until the evening, but at least we *will* make our morning Shuttle 🤞
