A grey miserable start to the day here. But,
It's MrsP's birthday so we are going out for Sunday dinner at the Green Dragon.

Off to sunny north Wales this morning. My niece (my Bros daughter) is getting married. I must admit it puzzles me as she is in her 40s, been married once, lived with a guy once and has lived with this guy for ages. I just didnt think people bothered to get married nowadays. I think it's a posh do so shirt and tie required.

Got a decent ride in yesterday so lazy day today. Need to index gears as slightly out when in small chain ring so that's a job to do.

Good morning. 'Tis grey and overcast, not inspiring. So far I've caught up some u3a admin, it's year end at the end of the month and I like to do as much tidying up as I can before then as it saves a lot of hassle. I've prepared the spreadsheets for next year's accounts as well. I'll have to do a balance sheet this year, for some reason I'm appalling at balance sheets, when I worked it was just a question of running the report, we have a retired bookkeeper on the committee now.......she's bound to notice.

Next will be a whizz round to do the housework. If I don't distract myself I could manage this is in two hours, then I'll bob up to the allotment. A snooze will need snoozing at some point.

I have noticed something. Rovers never, ever score at the last moment of a match. The last two home games we have scored, to get a result, in the 95th and 93rd minutes. The guy who sits next top me has recently taken to leaving just on the 90th minute, we never leave till the, usually, bitter end. I'll nudge him in the 89th minute at the next game and suggest he heads off home to miss the traffic..................especially if we're losing!!

Finished front garden yesterday. As Pete XXX mints will attest, its a tiny patch and the grass always looked scrappy so I've dug it out and gravelled it.

I've a new planter for growing cucumbers but ill have a break from the garden today and will site and install that tomorrow. Today I think ill put the radio on, make a brew and give me van a good clean.

the owner/manager is the wife of the manager of the LBS

seems that they have decided that he and I are as bad as each other!!!

I ought to go for a ride today but we are expecting visitors and because we don't know when they will arrive, it would be rude for me not to be in, so I will go on Tuesday as the forecast is good then.
