Lovely day here. 9 deg. Sunny and calm. No heating on in the house. :sun: Washing done and dried outside.

Ham sandwiches today

Heating definitely on here - set at a cozy 21C.

Outside is a chilly 8C with a real feel of 3C!

Glorious day but I have been confined to barracks waiting for Yodel to collect a return parcel that has been booked for today. Meanwhile I have inspected the non occupied Hedgehog house and found that the straw had become sodden. A thorough clean out and dry in the sun before I fill it with fresh Barley straw and reposition, remembering to leave a load of spare straw near the entrance so any occupant can top it up 🦔

Barnet,
A good day out and about.
Walked Millie across the fields and ip to Barnet, MrsP wanted to look in the CoOp for chocolate orange hot cross buns, but they aren't doing them this year.
We had coffee in the café in Old courthouse Park and then got the bus home.
I went out on the Brompton for a bit and had words with a numpty car driver who was trying to overtake me with no room because of parked cars either side of the
road. I do quite like a bit of confrontation at times.😁
The grass has been cut, wires put up for MrsP to train her Clematiis up, and I now have a bolognese sauce on the go on the hob.
Happy days.
Tomorrow's weather looks a bit grim, so I went a bit full on today.

Went for a ride this morning

couple of weird things
firstly - just as I was getting to the canal someone shouted some "something something something bike"

no clue why

then on the canal I was riding along and was approaching a woman ahead out walking
rang my bell - just a few tings
and she screamed and jumped off the path
as I passed she said " Oh didn;t see you there" (she was facing away from me - I think she meant hear)
I apologised as I passed but I reckon she was just miles away - didnt sound annoyed or anything

but it was weird

Then on the back part of the loop I stopped for a minute or two to take a photo on a bridge
and from them on Strava seems to have lost track of me
it says I went from that bridge to home in one single straight line

nice cake at the café boat though

but strange ride at times!

I get people who jump when I announce I'm passing, I also apologise(unnecessarily really but anyway) and just say I wanted to let you know I was going past. You'd think it's far better to give advance warning than just steam past but maybe not. I though do it just in case they suddenly veer to side which could cause a collision. Just can't win sometimes.
