Make out you are 16 again and go on a 'first date! Morrisons Cafe trumps McDonalds.

No way my wife would have liked me when I was 16!!!!

and I am not sure we would even have had anything to talk about at the time

lets just say that life has changed us quite a lot - we only met in our 50s and let's just say that our experiences have changed us - especially me

Life is strange and so different for each of us.
Sue was 16 when I met her, 18 when we married. It worked for us but not for everyone.

More stuff from this week
Thursday ; Walk to the market, bit of gardening and finished stripping the old Trek down.
Friday; Another shopping walk and a sort out in the shed.
Today;Gardening ,fettled the better half's Cotic(including stuffing grease in the Halo free hub to try and make it less annoying) and started stripping the black Pelago rack to bare stainless so it looks a bit better on the Fairlight (it had also got scratched a bit).
Tomorrow; Probably more gardening and bike fettling.

Yes, I was defeated, our daughter was with us too but we still ended up taking stuff home. The individual items were excellent, very light individual mini quiches, very rich chocolate roulade. Etc. It was the RNLI college and they have quite a large kitchen as it's a bit like a Premier Inn type hotel with accommodation for crews from all over the country. There's a really impressive indoor training pool which is large enough to take vessels and emulate thunderstorms and high seas.

Good evening. It's beautiful evening with golden sunshine but a bitter cold wind. I've been AWOL, not really at my best and busy and this, that and the other. Trust all is well in mature people land?

We've just had two good days in the Lakes, staying outside Grange..........world pensioner capital. Two days walking with good friends and a decent pub stay have blown away the cobwebs and the lethargy. Home now and enjoying a G&T. Tonight we're going to Chorley Little Theatre to watch Shapi Khorsandi.......usually very funny.

Grange 'o' Sands has a reputation for a rather ageing population. People retire there, quite why I'm not sure. One of the first advertising hoardings on the way in is for the Age UK Superstore!!!! 🤣 I kid you not.........and no we didn't pop in for a look........
