Good morning from a curtain still drawn bedroom in Dorset. Mrs Tkk is away in London and as usual when she's away I spent too much time reading in bed before turning off the light and going to sleep. I am assuming that the clocks have automagically sprung forward, will go and check the mechanical ones.

Good morning all. I am with you Mo in that i am sick of it now. I worked continuously and paid my taxes for 50 years and they cant even give me some decent weather. Today's weather will apparently vary between rain and heavy rain.
Daughter has told me I am on for a roast dinner** at 4.30pm so the big decision is what to have for breckie/brunch.
**she is actually as good a cook as Sue was which is saying something.

Morning all :hello:

Great day at the autojumble yesterday.
I actually managed to get everything I went for, as well as a couple of other bonus buys.
Went to the Cheddar brewery, next door to the jumble, and then popped in to Helmet City which is next door to the brewery.
Bought a bargain new helmet - £239 less 25% which brought it down to £179. Guy got his card reader out and I said I'd pay cash.
He said he didn't have any change so he'd do it for £170.
Cash is king!

Is that what they cost now
I think my Everoak helmet cost a less than a fiver back in the day.

Hmm - dunn what mine cost but it was not much
just got it from the LBS - think it was about £20

got it when I found that my old one had a BIG dent in the polystyrene after a "slight incident" that had broken my arm
I thought that was all and I just lent my head back once I had landed
I suspect I hit it hard and blacked out for a split second or so - so the helmet saved me from it being worse

Rain still lashing down so I’m not venturing out. Just had my porridge. Bit of a different combination. A drizzle of maple syrup and added some tinned mandarin segments. Sounds strange but it goes quite well.

So - clocks day

woke up and the clock said 6:50

but which 6:50??

my bedrroom clock is weird

in the old days it could be a week or two before it changed itself
nothing would change its mind until it was ready
which was a pain

but for the last few (no idea how many) it has been much better

but better in as much as it changes as soon as you start the radio

which si great design
it means that if you use it was a radio alarm
then
it is set for 7:00
so at 7:00 the radio comes on
so - the radio is on and it realises that the time has changed
so it changes the time to 8:00 (or 6:00) and the radio keep playing
so you have woken up as planned to the radio but it is an hour after (or before) the time you set it to

Which is an amusing thing nowadays - but when I needed it for work then it meant I had to remember to set a second alarm or some kind when the clocks changed

so - anyway - bedrom persuaded to change
kitchen oven changed
microwave changed
lounge clock changed
car will change itself when it sees my phone (probably)

probably find a few more - including my "other watches" which I need to do (I have a few)
