One second away from a porridge malfunction in the microwave this morning!! 😲

...........and doesn't it take an age to clean up!

Good morning. It's gloriously sunny in Lancashire but there has been a good frost. It will be leg warmers and I have to wrestle with the thorny question of spring long sleeve jersey or summer jersey, arm warmers and gilet. Decisions. Decisions. Decisions. It's the BIG day first ride out on my new Cervelo. I ad forgotten what an age it takes to fit lights, bag, Wahoo etc.......all the other crap one doesn't really need.................and I've forgotten to put the pump on. I'm not messing with that 40 minutes before I need to leave.

Our Californian friend returns here from her tour of the UK visiting old friends, relatives etc. Mrs P told me I'm cooking...........for the week! 😮 I've made fish pie for tonight and popped it in the fridge to cook later.....................no, no, no........I'll cook it in the oven, not the fridge

The only way to make porridge is in a saucepan on the stove top but watch continuously and don't let it boil over!

I agree, but my electric hob takes ages to heat up then stays hot for ages after I've turned it off (yes, I know about turning it off earlier & using the residual heat).
By the time the porridge is made this way, my 'pinged' bowl has been eaten & washed up 🥣

You need an induction hop, heats up in seconds and the same cooling down.

Morning. Cool but dry start to the day here so I walked a bit further than usual as there might be rain this afternoon.

It was an out and back so I turned back at 5 miles so 10 miles done.
