Another grey day in Dorset. Decorator popped round yesterday to look at the main bedroom which needs a freshen up. Booked in for the last week in May, Mrs tkk is pondering a very pale green as it's restful and a match for the curtains. Decorator said pick any colour from any manufacturer and the magic machine at Tikkurila will match it exactly.
In other news, new nestboxes should arrive today and then hopefully there'll be a bit more variety than the usual Doves and Gulls 🤞

Ive Just had my lounge done in pale green. I had my doubts but am pleased with it. A number of people have commented on how 'restful' it is.

Morning.
Bright and partially sunny although rain due later. I'm hoping to get out for a spin if possible, last ride was Sunday so if not outside it's turbo to get legs moving.
Washing on, coffee on.

Morning folks :okay: will be going out for a spin this morning even though the forecast is dubious....rain features every day for the foreseeable.... Its getting wetter here on the east and will soon be perfect for midges as on the west!
Finished putting in my taller front garden fence :okay: will give me peace of mind as i hate 'losing it' when some off lead dog wanders over....

Just taken the car in for £300 of pheasant damage repair. Stupid creatures.

One year since my Leukaemia diagnosis, that time has gone very fast despite over half being in/at hospital. It has been a tough year for both of us. Slowly getting my strength back although I think a bike ride would be pushing things a tad.

Lazy day apart from walking back to.pick the car up later on.

Have a good day, all.

Good news. The Boeuf Bourguignon has been found.........in the bottom of the draw where I keep homemade frozen meals........where else??

We should start a thread on how to organise an upright freezer........🤣

I kind of organise mine with veg at top, meat and frozen meals in the middle and ice cream and deserts at the bottom.
That is until MrsP comes along and outs stuff in there wherever it will fit.😟

When I’ve been batch cooking, I adopt the “wherever it’ll fit” approach, and then curse when I can’t find stuff 😕

Well, I got a new key cut at a nearby ironmongers as yesterday's one didn't work. Guess what!?... Yep, this one didn't work either 🤷‍♂️

I clamped the working key into a vice with the new non-working one and filed it into shape myself.. It's OK now 💪

Occasionally I have found that ironmongers/Diy places can't cut keys properly. You end up jiggling the key around in the lock.
I always use a locksmith shop now, more expensive but less faff.

I used to cut keys in my dad's ironmongery shop when I worked there as my Saturday job many moons ago. I rarely got any returns. This was on a hand turned key duplication machine.
They're still copied by the same method except the machines are electric now.
