I treated myself to a Robot Lawnmower, Klarna interest free is just TOO tempting 😂

It arrived yesterday.

Initial set up was very quick (it does not have a guide wire), and, it "learned" the shape of one lawn, with a single button click on the App.

Today, I tried to get clever, added a second lawn to the "memory" plus instructions to guide the mower from the first lawn to the second lawn.

Got it working after one false start.

Very pleased with the results, very neat. Even Mrs @BoldonLad is impressed with it (I have not told her how much it cost).

I have now added a series of schedules, so that the beast can undock itself from the charging station, cut both lawns, then, return to charging station. It is set to do this at 10:00am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

500m swim today under the auspices of the new owners of Hamtun's activities..
Apart from booking online, having to have an App, logins & details taken, slow, medium & fast lanes are in a different order & swim direction is now anticlockwise rather than clockwise, sessions are 1hr not 1¼ hrs and my one now starts at 14:00 not 14:30, it's exactly the same!

My guess is this doesn't have a box. A light cut three times a week will only produce a small amount of grass cuttings each time. These can be allowed to drop on the lawn as a mulch.

Wow three times a week , my lawns think themself lucky if they get done once a fortnight 😂😀

Which model did you go for?
Early days but would you recommend it ,

Mammotion Yuka Mini 800.

My verdict so far:

Initial setup dead easy

Cutting performance excellent

Noise level, barely audible

App (to set areas to cut etc) not exactly intuitive, but, so far, I have managed after one false start 🙂

Can’t really compare, since it is the only one I have owned/used.

Got the new state.pension rate ...but its a lot less than the headline 4.5%. Hmmmm...
Looking at why, I ventured into my HMRC app and looked through, nothing specific on pension but, PAYE page looks absolutely bananas, an expected pension higher than im actually getting, vast projected income from a private pension i closed before this tax year, so correct tax paid on that....it states I may have an income of £90 k this year (side splitting emoji ). so my tax code is completely awry.

I think im going to have to take advise...
