Wow three times a week , my lawns think themself lucky if they get done once a fortnight 😂😀

The idea is, I don't have to DO any lawn mowing, the mower will do it, without my involvement. I do expect that I WILL have to intervene to a degree, eg to clean the machine occasionally, but, using my original mower, I needed to charge battery, occasionally clean mower.

It is partly pure indulgence on my part, but, also, hopefully to ease the pressure on my time (caring for Mrs @BoldonLad, who has Alzheimers puts pressure on my time). An added bonus, which I did not foresee, it makes a very neat job, which pleases Mrs @BoldonLad (she was, formerly, the one how cared for the garden) 😂

Got the new state.pension rate ...but its a lot less than the headline 4.5%. Hmmmm...
Looking at why, I ventured into my HMRC app and looked through, nothing specific on pension but, PAYE page looks absolutely bananas, an expected pension higher than im actually getting, vast projected income from a private pension i closed before this tax year, so correct tax paid on that....it states I may have an income of £90 k this year (side splitting emoji ). so my tax code is completely awry.

I think im going to have to take advise...

Not wishing to depress you further, but...

When Mrs @BoldonLad retired (18 years ago now), HMRC messed up her tax big time. She received various claims for unpaid tax, at one stage, they claimed she owed them several thousand pounds. Her tax affairs were not complex, State Pension, small private pension, and, an even smaller NHS pension. The fiasco went on for two years, and almost a hundred different Notices of Coding were issued, the high point was receiving four notices of coding in the post, on the same day, each one of them different, and none of them correct. At this stage, she contacted our MP. About two weeks later, she received a telephone call from someone from HMRC who said he had been given the task of sorting it out. A further two weeks later, she received a cheque in the post for overpaid tax of over a thousand pounds, and, a direct telephone number for the gentleman who had 'sorted it", in case of further difficulties.

Good luck 😊
