Morning folks just did my morning stroll around my garden and some plants have exploded into growth when i wasnt looking! i planted some honey berries which are in the honeysuckle family, they have fruit like blueberries but have the advantage of not being fussy about soil ph, theyre romping away with lots of flowers which equals lots of fruit A little sage plant has suddenly become a shrub, a jostaberry is twice as big and many fruit forming

Just enjoying a few days in Devon with Mrs Gunk. First break we’ve had without any kids for years, feels strangely grown up!

Grey and breezy here with a couple of cold nights forecast so some stuff put back in the greenhouse(after breakfast and coffee of course!);a bit different from yesterday being sunny and warm all day.

Yesterday was mostly shopping and chilling with two trips in to the centre as we forgot to get some bread first time ,did mean that we could grab a case of Leffe blonde 0% to try (first trip had wine and other bulky stuff).

Rest of today will probably be admin stuff and sorting things out for future sale and charity shop donations.

Good morning. It's going to be a beautiful day. Yes, we're back. Thanks, we did have a good time. Oh, you didn't missed us? Oh, well. Mrs P and I have been to the Lakes for a few days with two other couples. B&B near Keswick for some walking, pub meals and general chit chat, being silly and doing old people's stuff................................which just means being very silly most of the time. It was a great trip. The main reason for going was to do our Rannadale Bluebell walk which has become a bit of an annual pilgrimage. The bluebells are near Rannadale (Rannerdale) Knotts about two miles from Buttermere, a stunning sight.

I came to a realisation during the trip; one of our party bullies me. It's taken years to reach the conclusion and I don't think she understands. Sometimes I'm very ticklish; this lady knows it and will grab me, by surprise, on the knees, shoulders, stomach or arms knowing full well it will get a reaction. I really do not like this; I've told her privately and rebuked her for it publicly, that is in front of our group but it continues. I made a point of keeping a physical distance on this trip, and our previous one, but that didn't work on three occasions. This woman's behaviour can be very rude at times, she knows it and most people dismiss it as "Oh, that's just Beryl**, you know what she's like." Let's turn that around, if I repeatedly grabbed women by the knee, stomach etc would that be dismissed as "oh, that's just Paul, you know how he is"? Of course not, it would be deemed inappropriate and perhaps sexual harassment. A form of bullying. Strange world we live in. I've decided what I'll say next time this happens...................and it's going to be blunt and to the point.

Anyway. I thought that little story interesting. Perhaps not?

Today? Loads of odds and ends. Make flapjack, gym, connect power meter to Wahoo, allotment, clean bike etc.

Oh, yes. For those who visit the Lakes. The Grange Cafe in Grange, Borrowdale, not Over Sands, is absolutely fantastic. Gets a definite 10/10 from Paul. Great coffee, delicious, genuinely homemade cakes, good panini, excellent Lakeland ice cream. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

Ticking can be bullying
but a lot of people do not realise it

with my ex it started as an OK thing
but with me it can lead to me being totally incapable of doing anything for mys elf until it stops

she ended up using that as a weapon

in the end I learned to "switch it off" if I had any warning

but my wife knows about it and never even tried to tickle me as it brings back bad memories
I got upset once when it brought back bad memories and we had a talk and she has never tried it since


You need to stop her and if she won't take any notice of talking in private then you need to take more extreme action

"That's just how she/he is" is never an excuse
whatever some celebrities and senior managers say

Like my good lady then. You never say " you can`t be cold" as you`d get a good icy stare ! Actually, to be honest, of late, I am not much better either.
