A very short curtain pole...............................or one of those things that cuts the top of a boiled egg?

Heh heh! Yup, it works very well to make the egg easy to lift off. I love a gadget, but that is my wife’s brekkie toy 🤣
Off later to the OK Diner for lunch with her siblings, should be a nice day out 😎

Enjoy the sunshine Binky!

Heavy showers here and actually some sustained rain:okay:

Yesterday ended up fettling the Fairlight and installing the Igaro usb charger so will need a spin on it at some point to check it's working ok.

Also had a delivery of plants;

May I ask where you're gardening? South-west England? Most of this I'd expect to grow pretty much anywhere but the ginger I think is quite tender. Cardamine, I simply don't know, I had to Google this. Impressive labels, I'm embarrassed to say I go from memory!

I'll be planting out lettuce and sowing Kale, Cavelo Nero, lettuce and outdoor pea sowing. If I can decide where, I'll plant out the sweet peas.

My afternoon swimming session has been cancelled due to problems in the kiddies training pool so the schools are in a reduced level main pool.

We had our new bins delivered a few weeks ago and today we had the explicit instructions what goes where. How long is that going to take for people to get used to it ? As we have 4 or 5 bins left in front of our house, I always take them back to whence they are collected. No big deal. Some weeks some of them don`t get collected as they have the wrong things in them. That was just being simple. Now it`s going to confuse the e`ll out of them !

Its beyond me. I could not bring myself to cheat/steal like that. I might be odd but if paying in cash and the person gives me too much change I will take it back to them.

Mosts extreme case of that for me was in McDonalds with my daughter many eyars ago

I ordered and all that
Now the funny thing is that ihad just nipped home as I had chilled shopping in the car and it was a hot day
my thedaughter had been promised McDonalds for behavign all day
anyway - my trousers were wet so I changed them
and forgot to swap my wallet over

so I had no money

but I always kept a £20 note in the car in case of emergency - like needing petrol or whatever ( shows how long ago it was - that was easily enough for a full tank!!)

so I knew I only had a single £20 note

anyway - the person behind the counter gave me the food - and I realised I was still holding the £20 note
so I said I had not paid yet
she looked at her till and said "yes you have"
"no I haven't I only had the note and I still have it"
"no you have - it say so here"

At which point I took the food and walked off

which led to a discussion with my daughter about morality and how far you can go before you are morally OK to just walk away

Her mother (my ex) didn;t contribute - I won;t go into the reasons!!!

anyway - That reminded me of it
I did use it as an example in class when I was a teacher and the subject came up
it was interesting to see how the kids saw it
