Good morning all, the sun is shining but looking towards the west the sky is a dark grey colour and it's coming my way.
1st mug of tea being drunk and Tony Blackburn is on the radio
The green bin lorry has just been down the road, the cats have been fed and have gone out and Millie has come in and is now asleep in the bedroom.
I will go up to the market for some fresh fruit and veg later on before watching the FA cup final on the telly this afternoon.

Good morning from a chilly Dorset. Heating has been on overnight and the weather app says it's 9 degrees outside.
A splendid day out in Wimborne yesterday, visiting the Green Man, Butchers Dog and the Tap House 🍺
Granddaughter sleepover tonight so it will be a Disney movie with grandpa making a "special " ice cream ( I usually make up a cone with a Malteser, some lemon curd and maple syrup in different layers).
Second coffee has been drunk so must get active.
Have a splendid day folks ☕️☀️

Morning folks the unrelenting 20mph northerly blast has relented phew! i for one and all the garden plants are relieved....Though todays north westerly switches from west to east so i can ride into a headwind and return into a headwind oh joy
Got a dvd from a charity shop yesterday celebrating Lance Armstrong before his fall from grace, his lying is masterful though i reckon he was scapegoated when everyone else [mostly] was doing the same.

I have read a few accounts that said it was his vindictiveness against those who wouldn't " toe the line " , even when they moved to the periphery of the sport.

I saw a documentary about it all a few years ago

It was done by a female journalist who was not around at the time (too young) and thought she might have an outside view after all the time gone by

She deliberately decided to refuse to talk to him or "his people"

it was very well done - with commentaries from her on how ti was going as it went along

Over lahf way through she did a "face to camera" thing again
this time she said that Lance had heard that she was doing it and asking if he could help (or whatever)
but she had had people say "One Lance is involved - all you will get is the view Lance wants you to have"
which is why she had avoided talking to him in any way up to that point

But she had talked to everyone that was involved and "not in Lance's camp" so felt she needed to look at the other side
so she had accepted an invitation to talk to him

BUT - she had decided to pretty much finish up the first 2/3 of the documentary and then NOT change it again
THEN talk to him and do the rest of it
so we could see the impression she had at that point fixed and not modified after


Then she interviewed Lance
WHo was wonderful and charming and very "honest" and admitted a lot fo the things that everyone knows about

but showed all the things he was doing to help people


The things about it all was that the "once you talk to Lance all you will get is what Lance wants you to get" reall came out
even though she talked to people who disapproved afetr that - there was an atmosphere of it being controlled by Lance afetr that
the views were often "Lance did Bad" like before
and the stuff before was never allowed to be "Lance is the Devil" type stuff - just accurate and detailed

but the difference was there

which, of course, might have been deliberate

or validated the "don;t talk to Lance if you want the truth" camp

dunno - but it was interesting

All my jobs have been done, the washing is on the line, I'm keeping an eye out incase of rain.
It is quite cool today, but the heating has not kicked in yet.
I've sown my runner beans and climbing and dwarf French beans in seed trays and now I'm watching the athletics on the telly.

12 degrees here but I have the window open.

Sowed some Viola tricolor and Campanula persicifolia, im hoping the viola's will self seed around the garden and especially around my new rose bed.
