Pete, I feel your pain. I once took matters in hand when Mrs Tkk was feeling a bit below par. Washing removed from machine, carried down the garden and pegged out on the whirlygig. I was just standing back admiring the symmetry of my efforts when I became aware of a presence just behind me. Mrs Tkk proceeded to rearrange all the items as apparently I'd " got it wrong " 🤔

We have two colours of pegs; light grey & light green. When I hang anything out (rare) I never mix the colours on the same item of clothing.. MrsPete, however, utilises the chaoas theory.

MrsTkk must come from the same school of laundry practices as, MrsPete as she does the same...

Good morning. At 7.00 I took the washing out to the line, it started to rain, I brought the washing back and hung it on the clothes horse, about 8.00 the sun came out. I have moved the clothes horse outside....................seems like a decent compromise. We had a very good 76 miles on the bike yesterday, I mentioned turning Southport in to a long ride; twice we were heading towards home before looping back again. It's 19 miles from my house to the cafe, we had ridden for 3½ hours and 47 miles before we arrived. Boy was I hungry and I still am.

Today is a bitty morning, got to do the cash banking for the u3a, return some stuff to Merlin and mail some returns to Rock Bros and with luck find time to get my C3 to the LBS for its annual service etc. ..........phew!

I like matching pegs too. Maybe it’s a slightly OCD trait? When I finish a walk/jog/cycle I like to end on even numbers. This morning's walk I stopped the Garmin at the house and it said 4.30 but I see Strava called it 4.31. Annoying.

We/Sue stopped hanging washing out as we were inundated with starlings that insisted on eating some purple berries then pooing over the clean washing. So, my bedding is in the dryer. As its very showery that's not a bad thing.
If I dont do the dark wash till tomorrow I might utilise the whirlygig and take a chance.

I decided to nip to Aldi for a few bits while the bedding was in the drier. Good decision as it was virtually empty.
@PaulSB I did look at burgers but as I said I cant remember which ones I recommended.

1. Do you wear specs ?
2. If so did you need new ones after your cataracts were done.
I had to get new specs some 6 months ago and the optician told me that after my cataracts were done I would need new ones. The hospital haven't mentioned it.

I always do matching pegs. I also do blue pegs for the boys clothes (ie mine), and, pink pegs for the girls clothes (ie Mrs @BoldonLad's). Neutral items are pegged out with matching pegs from the remaining colours (yellow, green).

Mrs @BoldonLad is never happy with my efforts, and, generally re-arranges the items, eg turning them the other way round, or pegging in a different location on the item.

Having lived in a house with a wife, and, four daughters, for many years, I am very accepting of being wrong, in fact, I have come to accept it as "the norm" 😂

Not trying to be pedantic, but what kind of pegs do you all use. Are they the wooden or plastic spring loaded ones, or the old fashioned wooden Dolly pegs?
I use the Dollies as I find the plastic one get brittle and snap after a while, and the wooden one tend to send the spring flying.

Plastic Spring Loaded here.

I find although they do get brittle, over time, I make a point of not leaving them exposed to sunlight, when not in use, and, they do last for several years.

I have a nice little grey plastic basket, with yellow folding handle, to keep them in.

Have I become. old and boring? 😂

Oh, thank you, I thought it was just me. We have three different styles of clothes peg. My rules are, Mrs P laughs:

• Styles must not be mixed
• Colours must not be mixed
• Strongest pegs are reserved for heavier items
• Socks must be hung in pairs
• Shirts, T shirts must be hung the right way up, fronts facing me
• Jeans, right way up, inside out to dry pockets and reduce fading

No I don't but I have been told to see my optician on June 5th but an assessment.
