Started young, and still going.

Barnet,
Good morning all.
The overnight rain did not materialise, but it is just starting now.
Today is bin day, recycling and general rubbish, the first of them will be down soon.
MrsP is off to St. Albans with our daughter, her birthday present was a pregnancy bump massage, and as she has six weeks or so to go, MrsP and her are doing a bit of shopping and pampering.
That leaves me and the animals. If it rains as forecast I'll sort the Turbo up in the man cave.
Enjoy your day everyone :cuppa:

Every school holiday my SiL drops her three kids off at my In-laws to stopover for the week, including a fortnight in the summer hols!
I give the grandparents 10/10 for this. Perhaps they're younger than me? The most intense we usually have is Monday #1 and #2, then #1 sleepover, and #3 arrives Tuesday morning. This leaves me wiped out. We once had #2 for three nights, she was too young for this and desperately distressed. She basically screamed for the whole stay.

I think I could do a week on holiday with #1, she's 5½. A lot easier and has so many interests she's easily pleased.

Good morning. Rain, wet and cold. Good grief it was cold in our house last night! I need to inspect my water butts as I'm not convinced they're flowing as intended. This can really only be done when it's raining.......so.

Mrs P was out last night. I watched two episodes of "How to get to Heaven from Belfast." Quirky, a dark plot hiding somewhere, funny and all round a bit bonkers! Netflix. I recommend it.

#2 today so I'll head off to Manchester in an hour, just time for another coffee and Suduko.

Morning all.
Very soggy here.
It should be a chill day as I did have nothing to do but I stupidly told my family that I will make a chicken curry.... then found I didnt have enough chicken so have to nip to Aldi again.

My butts now overflow from one to the other in a very satisfactory manner. The compost heaps have been turned. The sides are made from old pallets, a couple had rotted so those have been replaced. Weeding complete which means tomorrow I can tie-in and trim tomatoes, mound the potatoes and plant my brassicas. Excellent!

Popping to neighbours for birthday drinks at 7.00. Mrs P very sensibly decided we would have curry from Sainsbury's or Tesco or Asda or.........I don't know which bit it's easy and the microwave is beeping. Good idea.

I have five 100litre rainwater butts. However, they are behind my garden shed, with only one butt (and tap) accessible. Therefore, the usual "top interconnect" was not viable. With the aid of a tenth of hose, five "T" pieces, and, an additional tap (Ebay) I interconnected them at the bottom,

I seem grumpy this morning for reasons I cant fathom.

It is Monday morning, just think about all of those wage slaves off to work, THAT will cheer you up 😂

Edit: I am in catch up mode, just realised, you typed that on Sunday, or perhaps even Saturday, so, my reply should read:

It is Saturday/Sunday morning, just think about all of those wage slaves off to work, on Monday, THAT will cheer you up 😂

Rain overnight here and was bright and sunny early but now back to grey skies although dry.

Had coffee in bed and then outside to do a bit of pottering about before a breakfast of muesli/granola and a banana with unsweetened oat milk.

Will have a shave etc and then head out for thrifting and then down to Tesco via the river.

Depending on the weather will do some late 'chelsea chop' or potter indoors ,may hop on the turbo.
