Morning. A rather cool 6 degrees at the moment but dry and sunny. Better get out and enjoy it as the showers are due to return by late morning.

I enjoyed my day up in Aberfeldy yesterday with my old neighbours who are up for a week’s holiday. Pleasant walk done, nice lunch out then back to the cottage for a cuppa and a good catch up blether.

Monday - started on our efforts to walk round the Island 👍
It was chucking down until 11, so a late start and a mild 20km 👍
Did have to negotiate one dicey cliff edge: the “path closed” sign had been moved at the end we went in 😳

Yesterday was calmer, so managed 27km from Shanklin to Quarr Abbey 💪
Even then, there are a few diversions: the KCIII Coast Path is not as complete and tidy as they might have you believe 🙄

Ankle & knees aching this morning, but an early start, hoping to make it to the Horse & Groom, another 25-30km ahead 🍻
My hopes we might do in in 4 days have been revised to 5 - nothing if not flexible 🤣

Good morning all. A wet day ahead, again.
Lunch time cabaret to look forward to. I might force myself to have a shave before that.

Dogs walked.

Was sunny and bright when we headed out, now clouding up rapidly. I hope it holds as some hairy arsed plaid shirt wearing yorkie munching trucker is supposed to be popping round.

Neck still hurts. You might recall I went over heavily on the ice last winter and wrenched my back and neck, too a week or so to recover. Think I must have slept a bit awkwardly onnit the other night and aggravated the neck again. Its not killer, just enough to warrant a Class 3 level grumble and moan.

A friend of mine was over on the IOW a couple of months back. There has been quite a bit of erosion on the coastal path and some of it has dropped into the sea, other parts have had landslips covering it.
